Wilson County, NC Flowers, Six Towns

Lucama Orders and What To Send

Size is the first decision and the room decides it. Something low and wide suits a bedside or a reception desk in Lucama; a tall vased piece needs a hall table with clearance, which is a rarer thing than the listing photographs suggest.

Color is the second. Bright mixed stems read as congratulations, white and green read as sympathy, and the card settles what the flowers only suggest. Both go out of the same run through 27893, which covers most of the addresses on this page.

Wilson County, NC is compact enough that the florist covering it can run the whole of it in a day, so the question of size is about the room rather than about the road. That is not true of every county on this site.

Six Towns and One City

The city of Wilson keeps a page of its own beneath this one, separate from this county listing, and it is the address most orders here are headed for. Elm City, Black Creek and Sims ring it, and 79,958 people live across the nine codes between them.

That distinction is worth stating because the two pages answer different questions. This one holds the six towns together and states the terms; the town page carries the codes and the named places for that town alone, in more detail than 368 square miles allow here.

Sims sits at the northern edge and Black Creek at the southern, and the whole of it is a short drive by the standards of North Carolina. Nine ZIP codes cover the county, running from 27813 out to 27896.

A Sympathy Order For Stantonsburg

For a service, the piece goes where the service is held rather than to the family house, and in a county this compact the two can still be fifteen minutes apart. Stantonsburg sits at 27883 on the eastern side and is a different drive from the 27896 blocks.

Wilson Medical Center takes deliveries for patients and Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center for residents. Both want a room number on the card rather than a street, and something low enough to sit on a cabinet without being moved by a member of staff.

Harmony Park at Wilson takes deliveries for residents too, and an afternoon arrival works better there than a morning one, because mornings are when the wards and the day rooms are busiest.

Same Day Runs Into Elm City

An order placed before 1 PM Eastern time reaches Elm City or the county seat the same working day. Wilson County keeps eastern hours, so a sender two zones west is working to an 11 AM deadline at home, and one on the pacific coast to 10 AM.

Flower deliveries run Monday through Saturday to all six Wilson towns, Sunday delivery is not available, and the window is between 9 AM and 7 PM. Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand in the six Wilson towns, with no change to the size, shape or value, and a photo of the finished arrangement follows at no extra charge.

Nash County, NC lies to the north west and Pitt County, NC to the east. The full state list is in the North Carolina county index, and every design that can reach 27813 is in the full catalog.
