Flowers Across Richmond County, NC

Richmond County, NC covers 474 square miles and 41,990 people, and its two ends behave differently. Rockingham and Hamlet sit close together in the south; Ellerbe is well to the north, and an order for one is not an order for the other even though both carry the same county name. Six ZIP codes cover all of it, and 28379 at Rockingham carries the largest share of orders.

The 1 PM Line In Hamlet

An order placed before 1 PM Eastern time reaches a Richmond County, NC address the same business day, counted on the recipient's clock rather than the sender's. Flower deliveries run Monday through Saturday to all six Richmond ZIP codes, Sunday delivery is not available, and arrivals fall between 9 AM and 7 PM.

28345 covers Hamlet and 28379 covers Rockingham, and the two are near enough that a sender often has the wrong one written down. The code on the order is what a florist works from, so it is worth checking before the hour rather than after it has gone. Ellerbe at 28338 and Hoffman at 28347 are the two that get mixed up with towns elsewhere in North Carolina.

A Funeral Home In Ellerbe

Carter Funeral Home and Mc Lendon Funeral Home both take arrangements in Ellerbe, which is unusual for a town that size and useful for a family ordering from out of state. The standing piece goes where the service is; the smaller one goes to the house afterward. Both work from the service hour on the order rather than from a delivery date.

Pruitthealth-Rockingham is the other kind of address in this county, and a resident's name and room number get an arrangement further than a street line does. Where the service hour is already fixed, write it on the order and let the florist work backward. Hamlet and Rockingham sit close enough together that a family can need both in one afternoon.

Seven Towns, 474 Square Miles

Seven town pages sit under this one, Cordova, Hoffman, Dobbins Heights and East Rockingham among them, and each carries the ZIP codes that belong to it. Cordova and Dobbins Heights are small enough that the road name does most of the work. Scotland County, NC lies to the east and Anson County, NC to the west, both listed in the North Carolina county index.

Flower types are substituted for what a florist near the Richmond address holds that morning, and the type of arrangement does not change with them: size, shape and value stay as ordered. Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it goes back to whoever placed the Richmond order, at no extra charge.

A Birthday Sent To Cordova

A birthday order into a small town wants something that fits the room it is going to rather than something that fills it. The catalog sorts the same designs by occasion and by size, which is faster than working from a list of stems nobody can picture. A desk piece and a hall piece are two sizes of the same idea.

Anything that looks wrong has three days to be raised, and a Hamlet order is settled with a replacement piece, a refund, or credit for part of what was paid. That holds for all 41,990 people in Richmond County, NC and for every one of the six ZIP codes under it.
